Cardiovascular Disease Board Review Course

Cardiovascular Disease Board Review Course

Read What Your Colleagues Are Saying About This Course

“I can honestly say that the only reason I passed the cardiology boards the last time I took them was because of The Pass Machine. The Pass Machine is the best board review course you can take. Unlike other courses,The Pass Machine is concise and only goes over what you really need to know for the boards. I previously took the Mayo Board Review course, which spent too much time reviewing things that were not needed for just taking the boards. I felt like this only made it harder to decide what was pertinent and what was not. The questions The Pass Machine gave to review were great for cardiology board preparation. I would highly recommend The Pass Machine as the only concise board review for the Cardiology boards.”

Jeffrey W. Bissing, DO, Shawnee Mission, KS

“I just received notification that I passed (with room to spare)! As an electrophysiologist, I needed to review general cardiology and thought your lecturers were on target and on content. I have already recommended your course to others planning to take the boards this fall.”

Raul Mintrani, MD, FACC, FHRS, Bay Harbor Islands, FL

“This course is excellent, as well as superior to any board review courses I’ve taken in the past! This course is driven to help you and guide you for the boards. Would highly recommend anyone to be part of this experience – you will never regret it.”

Orlando Almanza, MD, Miami, FL

“I’ve been to all the review courses through the years – ACCF, Mayo, Cleveland Clinic – and by far this was the best. The repetition and interdisciplinary approach to the program were excellent. All guideline-oriented – great job!”

Carl Thurmond, MD, Columbia, SC

“I was extremely pleased with the format of this course and the ability to review all lectures online over and over till mastered. The set of practice questions is designed for you to know exactly what the Boards expect from you. When you study from this course, your confidence and knowledge to pass is real. I recommend it highly.”

Victor Mejia, MD, Coguas, PR

Speckle Tracking MasterClass 2018-2019-Videos

Introduction

Speckle Tracking Echocardiography (STE) is a rapidly growing field in echocardiography allowing us to study the “deformation” of the myocardium. Initially used as a research tool, many laboratories now include STE within their routine imaging protocols.  Clearly, STE has changed the way we determine myocardial function and will certainly impact clinical decision making even more in the future.

Let Dr. Thomas Binder and leading experts from around the world bring you through the most practical and comprehensive STE course available today. This course is designed to close the gap between what science has taught us about Speckle Tracking Echocardiography and what the clinician needs to know in order to apply this method in daily clinical practice.

Osmosis USMLE Board Review 2018 Premium (Videos)

Osmosis USMLE Board Review 2018 Premium (Videos)

Osmosis allows me to devote more time to leadership positions and my personal life while maintaining my academics. To be honest, my grades have improved only 4-6%, but I am able to do this spending significantly less time than I was previously. It has replaced Anki and Firecracker for me mainly because the user interface is so simple to use and pulls everything together for me with links directly to class slides, FirstAid, and Picmonic. And the lecture analysis feature is such a powerful tool that allows me to not just see generic information, but a study aid specifically for my class. It’s the whole package!

I like that Osmosis allows students to change the way they think about learning medicine. Instead of reading notes from class several times, Osmosis allows for students to integrate material on their own and pull material from prior units. I also love how classmates can collaborate on the same platform and use each others strengths to all succeed!

Osmosis is medical education at its finest. Finally, I’m able to organize my lecture notes, board prep, and additional learning resources in a single platform, that’s not only easy to use but is also interactive and customizable. I can upload a lecture PowerPoint, access provided board-tested flashcards, learn from Osmosis pathophysiology videos and view patient experience videos all corresponding to my uploaded lecture. I use it everyday.

I chose Osmosis because I was in search of an active learning program. I really like all the quiz questions and videos that Osmosis offers. I am a massive advocate of active learning because it works, and I think programs like Osmosis should replace medical education!

Boards and Beyond for USMLE Step 1 2018 (Videos+PDFs)

See what students who used Boards and Beyond are saying…

“Discovering Boards and Beyond was the best thing that could have happened in my Step 1 preparation. I used it as a major resource, alongside First aid and UWorld. It is the fastest way to cover all the information, especially at high speed. Dr. Ryan is able to explain complex topics in the most straightforward manner, and highlight topics that are likely to be examined. I scored 258 in Step 1, and I put it all down to the understanding I gained through these videos. There is no doubt that the knowledge I received from the videos will also assist me in my future career”

“I used Boards and Beyond as my primary resource along with UWorld in my term before Step 1. I achieved the top score in my term on the BCSE II exam and scored a 263 on Step 1. Really and truly couldn’t have done this without your quality instruction. Thank you so much!”

“Boards and Beyond is absolutely the best resource for medical education out there right now. It doesn’t burden you with details like Robbins or go light speed like Pathoma. I have recommended it to everyone I know”

“These videos are absolutely amazing. I keep saying it is the Pathoma for everything else. Please, please keep uploading more videos”

“Boards and Beyond is honestly the best investment I have made as a second year. It’s like Pathoma but for every other subject. The videos are all great but the cardiology section is phenomenal and definitely my favorite”

ACP SAFE Opioid Prescribing 2017 (Videos)

ACP SAFE Opioid Prescribing 2017 (Videos)

    Course Overview:

The need for education that will help medical professionals respond to the opioid epidemic is increasing. Here is a free program that can help.

This CME activity features six, half-hour educational segments, plus questions and answers facilitated by expert faculty.

This SAFE Opioid Prescribing Course – a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) activity – allows you to leave the site and return to complete the course in segments, depending on your schedule. To earn CME credits and ABIM Medical Knowledge MOC points, you must complete all six modules and correctly answer at least seven of 12 medical knowledge questions.

The SAFE Opioid Prescribing course provides guidance that is essential for safe and effective pain management when prescribing extended-release (ER) and long-acting (LA) opioids. It is critical to recognize best practices for how to start to therapy with ER/LA, how to provide therapy, how to end therapy, and what to do in between. Evidence-based tools are required for screening patients at risk and for monitoring for adherence to prescribed ER/LA opioids. Proven methods to counsel patients on ER/LA opioids and to achieve positive outcomes need to be employed. Comprehensive information is also essential on ER/LA-opioids as a drug class. This recorded course will provide clinical insights from specific ER/LA product information sources.

No registration fee is required to use this recorded course, which will expire July 15, 2018.
